Default Laser Guided missiles

Ive noticed the laser guided missiles in sp dont lock onto ground targets, I assume because an officer on the ground is supposed to designate them.


Can they not be made to lock on seeing as the AI is crap and doesnt bother with laser designation

1) correct or any other kit with the GLTD (or whatever they call it)

2) yes, but that would require a recode which would change the gameplay alot and so that is not going to happen.

Add a laser object template to all vehicles which will solve the problem.

Not really solving anything, as it is then just vanilla bf2, which goes against anything we are trying to do as a mod

Just because vBF2 has laser templates on the vehicle will not make PRSP into vBF2. You have tons of properties to work with.

Yeah i mean you only have to do it like in USI dont you? because it was only the AGM's that locked onto the target surely the Locking code for the bombs is different from the missiles, no?

No, bombs are missiles, just slower/less maneuverable etc ones.

Well a lot of the stuff in PR is from BF2. I mean there is nothing wrong with vanilla inherently, its an action game. Apart with some balancing issues and glitches, it does what it sets out to do: be fun. PR is doing something on an engine that was never meant to handle it, so obviously there will be problems.
