Thought I'd make a thread like this where everyone could ask a short question or give short remarks to things without making specific threads.


I personally am downloading the game atm but I'm curious about two things:

Can you resupply from enemy supply crates if you have stolen an enemy kit and if not then why not? One could code the crates (I guess) to recognise the kit instead of the team?


Also I'm curious to why the AK 74 is the standard issue rifle for the Russian forces and not the AK 103/105 (Special/Normal forces).

Oh perhaps I am wrong. Seems the AK 103 isn't used that much by normal Russian forces. I did think they had a more modern version than the AK 74 that they are currently exporting. Perhaps in the short future? Perhaps there needs be more developement in the AK 103 to make it more sturdier than it is now compared to the wooden/metalic AK 74's which are very reliable.

1. no, not possible to code, you can only get supplied from your own team's crates, w/e kit you have.

2. the AK-74U is not the standard issue rifle ofr the Russians, the AK-74M is, which is the most realistic.

I'm having trouble.

I've downloaded Core and Levels
Uninstalled v0.8
Reinstalled BF2 with patch
Installed v0.85 Core and Levels

Can't find any servers. Don't have any maps listed. No filters on that I can see.

Any ideas?

evan if that is possible, it would not be good for gameplay becuse then you could not get ammo from your oun teams crates...

It seems pretty wierd that Chechens can't rearm from Russian supply crates (and the other way around). They basically use the same weapons. RPG-26, F1 grenades, AK74/AK74M. THe chechens have RKG-3 and AK47 though... What are your thoughts, DEV's?

How exactly? You were able to rearm from your enemy supply crates in previous releases.

I guess if the Chechens could rearm from the Russians then the brits could rearm from the Chinese, ugh, but I'm not certain.
