Default Chopper blade suicide removed?

Hi guys, was death by running into helo blades removed? I remember the other day I had the misfortune to have a huey land danger close to me, tailrotor literally on me.

And I didn't die?? I tested this out after, and I was able to have the tailrotor slicing right through my head with no consequence. Bug or removal?

choppers in bf2 have never had a collision mesh on rotors ? (thats why fastropes are useless)

They used to have collision meshes back in an earlier version, .5 or .6

no they didnt....

the only time that the rotors have a collision mesh is when there is no one in the pilot seat/when there not moving.

maybe the chopper was spinning and the actual model hit you rather than blades.

There was collision mesh I'm pretty sure...Somebody bunnyhopped to the chopper and he was toast...

I agree, I believe there was a collision mesh around .5-.6 timeframe which they were working on. It was in the video of Al Basrah when it first came out.
