Dirtbikes normally get trashed, jumped, and splashed. However, in this game, they seem like they are made out of balsa wood. They blow up so easily that it is almost comical if it weren't for the frustration that follows. Dirtbikes should be very very hard to damage under the conditions for which they are designed for. Shooting a bike is entirely a different thing and damage should apply appropriately when fired upon. Dirtbikes simply don't blow up. Imaging going to a motorcross race with riders blowing to bits. Seriously, how could this be any more stupid the way the settings are now?
All of the cars in insurgency etc... should not blow up like a pinto for every little bit of minor damage. This is also a rediculous setting as well. PLEASE CHANGE DEVIATION ON THESE VEHICLES TO BE REALISTIC.... XBOT1 |

You can't fall off the bike. So when you hit an object, there has to be some kind of punishment. Or else we would have crazy bike driving maniacs running over coalition forces the whole round. Bouncing off walls, jumping over buildings and generally using the bike for things other then transportation.

I say just remove the bike all together. Its funny watching them blow up but you can really travel that far before losing control and blowing up.

Plus, the dirtbikes now are FINE. All you need is PRACTICE, and they will be very, very effective. I remember on .756 I would go around killing snipers, capturing enemy HATs, blowing up APCs and AAVs, lasing targets, providing intel, all with the dirbike on Qinling. It's a real shame they removed them from that map | |
