Have you ever been flying a jet and got distracted for a few seconds, then got snapped back to the game as the "Get back here soldier" warning appears, began banking furiously and kicking the rudder pedals, only to watch the 10 second timer count down, die, and wince as your team loses a valuable asset?
You get almost 30 seconds going out of bound in a helicopter, and they can turn around much faster than a jet can. If you're not already turning when the warning appears, it's too late. One moment of distraction from staing within the boundaries, and it's game over. |

Well tbh almost half of my deads in jets are this way.Since u always have to keep an eye on
1)your 6 2)your left 3)your right 4)chat messages for possible enemy positions/aircraft 5)ground troops on minimap 6)other friendly aircraft 7)flags 9)Also trying to figure out where the fck is "a5-5 behind little house" on minimap for spotted enemy AA |

Have seen 2 F-16s in one round lost in this process, and very close to losing an A-10 this way. Never fully encountered it myself, luckily. Definitely needs some fixin'.

I agree, the HUD map is unreliable and you never see it coming. The time to get back is far to short. It has never killed me but I have been injured and forced to land before.

For maps, is it possible to produce a "circle" of killzone out of bounds, thus allowing jets to fly through this killzone and allow them greater airspace to operate in? The circle an be made that a jet can fly through on full power, but is too big to allow anyone to get through in a helo or in a vehicle. THis then means that pilots can line up runs with greater ease and also allows more epic dogfights, with a greater play area there can bea bit more cat and mouse.

If u flying in PR, the Minimap moves along ur Flightpath/ Plane Icon. Till you coming nearer to the Deathzone, the movement of the Minimap stops, only your Plane Icon is moving. That is the Warning for you that u coming closer to Deathzone.
If im flying, i set a Attackmarker on Mapcenter before i lift off, so i have always a Navigationmarker to leave Deathzone asap. But you are right, a increased of Deathzone Timer is a good Idea. Baracuda have a 35 Second Timer. That might be enough for Chopper and Jet. |
