Been looking around for a thread with this in but no luck.
I have been waiting to write about this until i had it fully tested on the servers, it seems to me that the TOW hummwe vs. the thank is a bit over powered. TOW spawns in after 10 min(if i remember correct) Tank 20 min, In RL a TOW might take out a tank in one shot i don't know but to balance the spawn times out the TOW should use maybe two shots to take down a tank. Would defiantly make it more coherent, don't get me wrong i like running around in the TOW destroying everything i sight just doesn't seem fair. chubben |

The way it is now, you have a very lightly armored vehicle with a very powerful weapon going against a highly armored vehicle with a powerful weapon. If you take the advantage that TOW humvees have, they are going to be easier targets for the tanks.

Damage on them will be decreased slightly as well as setting both the TOW HMMWV & the Bradley to use the same TOW variant. Right now, there are two problems,
1. The TOW HMMWV is using the "stationary" TOW weapon which was only intended to be used to prevent main base raping (hence, the high damage). 2. The Bradley is using its own gimped version of the TOW. For 0.85, a new "mobile" TOW standard is in place and will be used for both the TOW HMMWV and the Bradley. The damage of these VS Tank armour are, 2 to front armour 2 to side armour (one putting the tank in critical and/or disabled condition) 1 to rear armour |

Yup, gonna have almost as much new goodness as .8 by the looks of it. Good change though, the whole damage to manoeuvrability thing is good, but it's a bit of a piss take that the hummer doesn't have to use much of that manoeuvrability to take down tanks.

That's cool to hear.
I always hated the TOW Humvees on Qwai - 1 ditched inside a hole could take out a fully crewed tank in a single shot. |

I'm happy to know that the current damage is to be reverted back to it's .75 levels (the ones you listed), as that proved the most balanced, as well as providing a sufficient challenge every round | |
