Thanks

Sorry... Im not all "in with the PR terms yet"

Tows can do some reall damage if you ambush and your more then one, is that a good or a bad thing?

And also the bradley, since it will have an equally strong tow as the tow hummer i can only guess what affect that will have on tank battles? It will be as much as a threat as a tank now.

Regarding damage, it's appropriate. The TOW is an anti-tank missile so it would only make sense that it can blow up a tank. They keep TOWs up to date as well. Secondly, any punk with a MG can blow up a TOW hummer so it's pretty balanced in my opinion.
A .50cal maybe, if it stands still long enough. I think the Dev's idea for the TOW where it takes 1 to the rear, 2 to the front to destroy a tank is good because right now, people are using it as kill everything buttons due to the hunvee's nice armor, decent manueverability, high speed, and HUGE splash damage.

There's also a problem with the Tanks NOT destroying a humvee in 1 shot when they get the drop on them. A few days ago I was playing QWAI, fired a SABOT round at a TOW Hummer, hit it, the round penetrated the door, killed the driver, killed the passenger next to the driver, and exited the other side, leaving the humvee just smoking, at which point the gunner fired his TOW, killed us in 1 frontal hit, and drove away. WTF.

Everyone wants to easily kill their opponent but nobody wants to be the one easily killed. That line of thinking escalates weaponry to the point where practically every soldier has a shoulder-mounted nuke launcher that when fired, automatically displays the text "pwnt".- [R-CON]Wolfe

The TOW can penetrate around 1000mm (1m) of armor and has a mechanism to defeat ERA.

The source: http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/tow.htm
Another: http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-71.html

LMGs can tear up the HMMWV or at least the people inside. The idea I was trying to convey is that they are fairly vulnerable. I've played the game enough to know that if you pour enough small arms fire on these vehicles the occupants will start dying.

Taking another approach to this, can you disable the TOW like you can disable the armor turrets if enough damage is sustained?

Not true, the humvee is bullet proof to anything below a .50cal, only vulnerable part in the turret.

I've torn enough HMMWVs up with a LMG to know that it's not the case. Even if it were true you can still shoot all the occupants out easily.

Nothing is 'bullet proof' just bullet resistant. Not all Humvees are armored either.

The up armored humvees are resistant to 7.62 armor piercing rounds.

I was talking about in game Blakeman. All I know is that I've never been shot out of .8's humvee's by anything lower then a .50cal when I wasn't in the gunner position.

Never having been shot out by anything lower than a .50 isn't conclusive evidence that it can't happen. After all, I've never been sniped out of the cockpit of the helicopter in vBF2 but we all know that it's possible.

heat round from a tank = dead tow humvee. i like it how it is at the moment. Asymetrical, but the US has no IFVs |(strykers are ICVs and are crap) any more so i think it compensates for that.

id like to see a Bradley instead of a stryker on Qwai, and drop 1 tow humvee.
