after playing muttrah as both teams way too many times i have noticed the map is slightly MEC biased but not because weapons but because statstics and the types of vehicles..im starting to look at muttrah like McNamara looked at Vieatnam
First the LB must go many people belive taht the Lb is the only helicopter really suited for this map..i disagree the huey is superior in all ways possible ill make a list showing why LB fast but very easy to take down passengers get shot out NO SUPLLY CARTES (rember this this is a major issue) Marines dont use it cant carry full squad Huey slower but can actuualy take rifle fire w/ the crew still safe Marines use it supply crates carrys a full sq I see LBs going down more than hueys to me at leats it seems taht the 3 LBs should go and be replaced w/ 2 hueys another advatage of this is that its one less pilot and one more rifleman Second Mec has too many supply trucks right now if we were to drive all the MEc trucks on a one way trip to north city and all teh hueys to north city the MEC (in theory) can build 4...FOUR FO's..US can build 1...ONE!!!!!!!..this affect gameplay the most...the last thing the US needs is more weapons but more ways to help troops on the ground alsosince MEC has more Supply trusk tahn they need they rush teh docks...now they will have to think before they rush in this is why more hueys are needed...they have supply crates so i sugest the MEc maybe looses one or 2 trucks to make the FO #s a little more even and they must only get one vodnick taht spawns at base becaus ethey get 4 more from the FO third the western mec spawn must go this spawn causes the MEC team to rsuh the falgs way too easily the flags go up too fast for US to get a chance at north city thsi map is equal in terms of weapons but its just the military tactci of it being easier to defend tahn to attack and the problem of supplies i would like some input from teh community and teh DEVs NOTE: i wnated this post to be more organized but im short on time so i hope you can understand my point |

I disagree with all the above points.

I would maybe start to consider removing the littlebird and adding more hueys IF the huey was not a complete pig to fly.
There is also alot of things you have missed and got wrong, like the littlebird being much smaller and much more agile than the huey, thou it is in fact a lot slower than the huey at top speed. This means the littlebird has far more landing zones to choose from than the huey, the huey can only really land in a really easy, open area unless the pilot is really good since the huey if done one thing wrong with it, will screw up big time, i mean it can't even pull out of a slight dive... now add the fact the there is a high chance of being under fire, and the landing zones are even more limited for it. Yes the fact the LB can't take a full squad and has no supply crates is also a very big issue about it, but it is still far superior than the huey in other ways that until the huey is fixed in such a way that it is not a utter pig to fly, I will not be fully getting rid of thous littlebirds from the map. |

I can give it a shot.
-As rhino says, the LB is smaller then the huey and allows for landings in tighter spots. -I can't remember the last time i actually saw someone get shot off a side of a LB. Small arms are extremely unlikely to hit a moving chopper. If you get lit up by a .50cal or AA then neither the huey or LB is likely to survive so I don't see how one is that much safer then the other. -Both choppers have their advantages and disadvantages, no need to remove one just because you feel the other is better or you see more people crash one then the other. I think both choppers fit their roles just fine. -for both your second and third point, yes the MEC has a better chance of gaining a foothold in the city, they are supposed to. They have more flags = more firebases. The amount of supply trucks isn't going to change that, a single truck could still go back to the main for more supplies, it would just be a pain in the ass. I think the map is still pretty balanced. MEC has the foothold, but only ground forces. US has chopper support. In recent games i've seen the US win more then MEC, but of course that doesn't mean anything. I think maybe once limited kits are adjusted and the US APCs can be fought off a little better, then, MAYBE, the USMC might need a bit more to swing the balance back. Its fine for the moment though. |
