Ever consider making only the turret of an opposing force's light transport vehicles (technicals, vodniks, nanjings, hummers, et cetera) accessible to either side. Sometimes I see abandoned technicals on Ramiel in a perfect position to just lay waste to the insurgents who should know better than to leave it alone and it makes me sad that I can't hop on the gun and blow them away.

i agree. it would make people look for these vehicles and dont abondant them as they do now. a evil american could hop in and kill them all.

No. How would you get the training to operate that machine gun?

what? erm.. pull the trigger? all maschine guns are prinzipial the same. you look thru the sights. you pull trigger, it makes bang and fires. everyone who know how to fire a auto rifle can shoot a mg. reloading or maintaining is however something diffrent.
the same question can applied in many ways. how do a insurgents know how to use medic bag or rifle after picking a medic kit up? how does a britsh soldier know how to use a AK? |

A mounted machine gun is very easy to operate.

First of all, making ONLY the MG usable would probably be impossible with the engine.
Second of all, getting into a vehicle with enemy markings is generally a bad idea on the battlefield, any way you look at it. |

They already have vehicle position limitations based on kit type. Give each kit a unique identifier and lock out all seats besides the MG position. Using enemy equipment isn't completely unknown, it's risky but that's something the player can decide upon. Tell you what, if you came across a group of enemies and you saw an enemy machine gun right behind them, would you pass up the opportunity to use it?

While I don't foresee any engine limitations with this idea, I think the issue will be how realistic it would be for American forces to be using technicals.
