I use a Seitek EVO Cyborg, but not that well. I find hard to keep my roll steady. Maybe it is just practice. (Just as well we have the training servers now!!!)
It looks like you can get more control with the mouse, but I am finding it difficult to change to it. |

lmao!
Really nice desk setup BTW. I use a joystick when playing infantry. <LOL| just kidding.> Seriously. I've tried using a Playstation-style control pad to fly planes like I've used it in "Lock On: Modern Air Combat" but with not as much success. Forgot exactly why - I think it had something to do with difficulty in using the left thumbstick for rudder. Also, I'd have to readjust the sensitivity in the settings menu. The sensitivity settings are set very high, especially for the mouse (so I don't have to use half of the desk.) So flying choppers is kind of like riding a bicycle. The small adjustments become intuitive. If there was one thing I wish were different in BF2, I wish I didn't have to keep tapping on the 'W' button in order to maintain the air speed in jets. Can you imagine if flying planes were really that way? I wouldn't buy plane tickets. When I use a joystick, the controls are inverted - but not when I use a mouse. |

Joystick for anything that flies. I also have joystick enabled for ground vehicles, with the twist used to turn. However, most PR vehicles seem to react to joysticks funny. It's like, 0-45% of the joystick equals to no movement at all, 45-50% equals to very slow movement, with it getting faster as you get closer to 50%, and 50-100% equals FULL AHEAD!

![]() I Use this for Jets and Keyboard + Mouse for HELO's. I Have heard that the Playstasion 2 joypad is good for HELO's. But I have not tried that yet.

I got the same and imho don't like it that mutch.
For PR/bf2 the twist is too short, buttons don't fit into my hand that well (can't use all buttons men't for the thumb) No "center" on the slider thingy. Buttons are so spread out that u can't turn the slider with two fingers and keep fingers near the other main buttons. Those Microsoft joysticks (first one mentioned with a picture) were really good and I was one of the best bfv pilots with it (well, not that mutch of an achievement Next one (those twist handles never last) will prolly be the one Alex mentioned. |

![]() Logitech freedom 2.4 Best stick I ever had. Had a saitek set for a while, but too many buttons, and too few fighter sims :/ Loving that it's cordless, so I can stow it away when I want to be "presentable" |
