Maybe its just me but it seems like the g3 marksman rifle is more accurate while standing then prone. in a skirmish on kashan I was firing at a squad in the open (while prone) and couldn't hit anything. ran dry. reloaded. Stood up in a rage (Rambo style :P) and dropped 5 guys in 6 shots 4 head shots and one double tap.
Has anyone else played around with it and noticed the same thing? |

Below is the deviation code for the G3 marksman:
ObjectTemplate.deviation.minDev 0.25 ObjectTemplate.deviation.setFireDev 1 1 .033 ObjectTemplate.deviation.setTurnDev 1 .075 .075 .025 ObjectTemplate.deviation.setSpeedDev 1 1 1 .013 ObjectTemplate.deviation.setMiscDev 5 5 .05 ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModStand 2.0 ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModCrouch 1.6 ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModLie 1.6 ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModZoom .4 As you can see, the stand deviation is significantly higher than the crouch/lie deviation so in theory, standing should be worse than crouching. In game, however, all marksman rifles seem to be acting a little strangely; sometimes they're deadly accurate and other times they're way off... not sure why. |

What is the unit or whatever for the 2.0 and 1.6?? Like how much difference is the 0.4 between the stand and crouch and lie?

At 200 meters:
stand: .698m grouping crouch: .559m grouping In other words, crouching is like being 40 meters closer than standing. |

Wah, the "mindev" value does not mean minimum deviation. Take your trolling elsewhere.

It's important to note, however, that the deviation pattern is not linear. It's exponential, meaning that about 75% of the shots will be towards the center, with only a small percentage deviating towards the edge. | |
