Can we have an alternative firing mode for the Enfield where the trigger is pulled with your middle finger, allowing for an increased ROF?

I'm going to stick my foot back into this little thread with a comment on the Lee Enfield and it's damage.
I saw a first timer post in General about the Lee Enfield's damage being too low, and the thread was locked, which got me thinking. The Lee Enfield fires a massively overpowered round. One of the biggest reasons it was retired from service was because the .303 cartridge was just too insanely powerful for most purposes (that and NATO standardisation :\). It overpenetrates, has huge range, and kicks like a bitch, but none of these things are modeled in PR. This guy wanted the Enfield to be a one shot kill, and I thought that was stupid, but then I rethought it, and figured, what the heck, it's a reality mod, and a .303 to the torso at any modern engagement range has a pretty serious chance of putting someone out of action for good. After all, we are talking about a round that doesn't have any real problems penetrating a human after several brick walls. Any thoughts? |

O.o I posted a simple question and a bit of praise and kinda got my answer. Thats all I asked for I'd rather this thread not turn into a bashing or suggestion thread.

The 7.62x54R and (7.92)8mm Mauser both have superior characteristics, one of which is still being actively produced and used. Additionally the 7.62x51(.308 Winchester) that replaced the .303 Brit, has superior ballistic characteristics. Furthermore, the .303 used a tapered and rimmed cartridge which required a great magazine curvature (see Bren Gun.) -Read | |

Here's the history of the Lee Enfield via military Channel, they ranked it as the 3rd best rifle in history.

I love the addition of the Iron-sighted Enfield weapon is great addition, I love shooting, the sound is ballsy too. From prone I constantly find myself popping heads at 200m.. I wish you all would do an Iron-Sighted M1903 Springfield for the American team and try to recreate the exploits of Sgt. York in PR, but that is probably not going to happen.

My problem with the Enfield in the Militia is that it is unique in its ammo. The SVD and the PKM both use 7.62x54R and the Enfield uses the .303.
The vast amount of Mosins within arms reach of that region would outnumber any amount of Enfields. The fact that they are only 70 dollars after import here in the US is a testament to their low cost as well. To me it makes sense to use a bolt action if you are already using the same ammuntion for your marksman rifle and machine guns. The x54R is also a rimmed cartridge (thus the R notation) and is why you don't see hi capacity magazines for SVDs. I had read somewhere here on the forums that there is a bug and the enfield was shooting a 7.62x39 round instead of its .303? This would explain the no one shots. |

Battlefield Korea uses a very nice Mosin. Would like to see that one replace the Enfield in-game.

Seeing that we were able to trade for the use of that mod's SKS, it shouldn't be hard to get their Mosin for the Militia.
I just want to see more bolt-action weapons for the Insurgents, especially Ambushers. |
