It all depends on the situation. Especially if the civilian has a "hostile intent" you can defend your actions against that. Better to be tried by twelve then carried by six and some people would put it. Though the shooter does get a penalty, so as I said, it works both ways.

I say give them their old spawn time back. However if they're within 50m of another insurgent or an insurgent mine/IED then they have the points of anyone else. If taken out by a sniper, marksman, plane/heli, or armor then it is no damage yet they get a quick respawn. If anyone else kills them they are punished.

-My .8 experience of Collaborator.....
I was with my squad (one of the first times in .8 as collaborator), who was under a bridge, they saw someone, so I moved up to find out who it was. I found a US soldier right in front of me. I reported it to my squad, by I was quickly shot on spot. I waited 2 minutes to spawn... I vowed never to play that kit again... I did a "poll" on who else was collaborator kit on our team, the answer was noone. The kit is useless now. What is my motivation to be collaborator? No weapon, get shot easily, 2 min spawn time? I have a bunch of usless bandages and a grappling hook I can't use with a weapon... The kit is useless now, noone plays it, if it stays as it is, get rid of it.. |

Personally I think the 2 min spawn time is ok. The punishment is not.
The punishment for a person that kills a civilian should be a 4 min respawn timer, instant death, and a negative team score with their total score set back to 0 (all the newbs still care about score, personally I think the entire scoring system should be REMOVED). The team that kills the civilian should also lose 10 tickets for the time spent dealing with the crime and the time needed to train and recruit a new soldier. |

The PR mod starts to be more complicated and foolish - more walking instead of runing, more healing time, more respawn time, more deviation, less stamina, etc. I have played PR mod since version .14, or .2 and I can say that after next good feature that was found in one patch dev team starts to make it more and more unplayable in next patch.

Version .8 needs adjustments - I don't realy like underwater movements.

As it stands right now, there's really no reason to have the civilian in at all. Just give the cellphone/grappling hook to another kit.

60 seconds for getting shot by coalition , 120 for suicide/falling to death, 180 seconds for being restrained and then add +5 seconds per death up to another 60 seconds.

But it is not a civilian? It is a collaborator?
He should have at least some kind of weapon and not a punishment for being shot or a punishment for shooting one. If he is healing insurgents and calling in mortars he isn´t much of a civi is he? Or, the visual difference should be much bigger, you get very badly punished for shooting one and they have no weapons. That would be a civilian. Because at the moment, they are basically working for the insurgents yet I get punished for shooting one? Or if I get shot I get 2 mins respawn, yet I can´t shoot back? The main thing is it is almost impossible to tell who is who at range, especially from the air. With all due respect this argument of "just don´t die". Well I am sorry, but I am not as good as some of the elite and it just makes me think that the people saying it don´t play public games much... |
