I have seen locked humvee infantry squads used to good effect on Kashan.

Perhaps giving the engineer humvees 4 total seats would solve this problem.
You could then have 2 engineers in a transport squad that could transport a full squad in a convoy. |

Why was the humvee-spawn at forward outposts removed in this version? It really hurts on maps like Kashan where you have 2000 metres between spawns and have to wait for a heli transport for 10 minutes.
Not only did you remove a lot of transport by removing the hummer, you also eliminated 4 seats on the transport trucks. This is an example of forced teamwork that I don't like. If you are unfortunate enough to end up on a team with shitty pilots, you can't get anywhere on the map... |

No one can ever justify a locked squad to me, esp if its for a humvee
Course it's fricking easy to use organised teamwork to good effect when you only let people you know in your squad. the only reason SLs will lock squads is because they're taking a cowardly approach to leadership and ordering a stranger they've never met what to do. Much easier to just make sure you have good squad members who'll do the right thing themselves.... Poofs Locking squads for "Teamwork" (irony), Assets, Vehicles and anything else is a surefire way to kill off new players who have potential and kill this mod |

What's the point of having 6 guys in a squad where the SL in driving an APC? He will not be able to put down rallies, and he will have to drive back and forth all the time to pick up the guys who just respawned after dying. What's the point in having more than 3 people in a sniper squad? The rest will simply do nothing more than watching the sniper shooting people far, far away and on ocasions kill some lone guy who gets too close. It's just more effective to have people that do different roles in different squads so you won't waste your manpower on unessesary things. Instead of having 4 inf guys in your APC its much better to let them be in a 6 man inf squad and support them if needed. Its better to have 2 APC squads than just 1 because it doesn't limit one of the drivers by not allowing him to set attack markers on enemys. Those 2 APCs can still cooperate just fine. Especially when you have a commander.

Throw him in the trunk! We need it!! You can't rely on there always being a logistics truck for the last guy to hijack.
Make him sit in between the two in the back, it's big enough for 3. |

1) lock a 5man squad (also useful for the fact LBs can't carry 6 squad members and the pilot. 2) use mumble and have 1 squad driving 3 hummers and have a second squad as dismounts.
