BMP-3 on Kufrah

What happened to this cute little beast? I tried out Kufrah on LAN today and saw BTR-90s instead BMPs. Why were they removed and are they coming back?
Or are they on a different layout, since I found out that each map has like 5 different gamemodes/sizes now

So the vanilla EA model was put back and the PR made (bmp3) removed ?!?

Can't say I like this "retro" move.

I am running it on LAN t0o btw,no need to shoot anything just yet, lots of stuff to check out without
others getting on the way.

The BMP3 was EA made also - from Special Forces

Some good points, I forgot about the SF

and all the other ones.
PR > SF/vBF2/A.F./E.F that much is certain

damn I got them all too
Now we just need some water on Kashan and go fishing with the bmp's

The main problem with the BMP is, is that the Coax Mounted gun (right mouse button to fire) now is a lame 7.62 MG, instead of the nice 30 mm autocannon we had before.

Unless there is some trick to activate the 30mm cannon, the favorite MEC beast has been severely nerfed.

Also (after I double-checked some stats):

Do they float?

My main problem with bmp in .75 was it was so slow but otherwise really pretty usefull and something different

Wrong. The BMP-3 is from the Special Forces expansion for BF2. The BRDM-2 is from USI.

And yes, you can find them on Kashan. A nice balance against the Bradley.

Thirty mm Autocannon + 500 Rounds of Ammo

Last seen: mounted coaxially with a 100 mm Cannon and a 7.62 mm MG on a BMP-3.
