The guys saying "Don't Die" have got it 100% right.

  • Every infantry squad needs two medics.
  • Every infantry squad needs to stick together.
  • Every infantry squad should have line of sight between members.
  • Every infantry squad should be sure an area is secure before moving through it.
  • Every infantry squad needs to supress enemy combatants
  • Every infantry squad needs to secure the area when they fall under attack, or fall back.
  • Every infantry squad needs to revive their fallen squaddies.

If you die, you will probably not get a limited kit for your next life. If you want the Light AT Support, if you want the supressive fire from a LMG, if you want a marksman to pick off targets at range - you gotta keep that support in your squad, not piss it away zerg rushing a flag and then expect to be able to pick up a new one.

I don't like 2 medics in the squad, especially when the need for a scope/grenades is high

1 good medic is good enough

alright
the fact that i die VERY often (i usually have the highest deathcount in my team) frightens me
guess ill stick to sniper more than ever, that is if i can manage to grab one of those kits

Yeah, yeah, welcome to reality. Thank you.

But is having a total of only 3 AT riflemen in a team of 32 players really realistic? I think the infantry was nerfed enough with making the Rifleman AT and grenadier limited kits.

Still, I haven't played it yet and don't know how much it will change the gameplay and if it will be in a negative or positive way. Right now I can only see poor infantrymen being pinned down by APCs they cant take out because of the LAT-limitation, all in constant need for medics because of the new bleed-limit...

I don't care about the reallocating time (it may improve reality), but I don't like that only 3 of 6 squad can get such an important kit like the AR. It doesn't seem "real" to me.

Well its hard if you have people shooting at you.My preview is that you want to make people more caring about there life... ok but at same time making surviving harder and harder. If you have a APC shooting at your sq and you have no AT its very hard to survive. If there is a firefight somebody has to die, yes in reality you can fallback but in PR the firefights go so fast that half of your sq is dead before you can start thinking of falling back. Im not sure if this idea is well thought through but we`ll see.

Okay, lets say we have 6 squads. Now, at least one or two of these will probably be specialized, be that an engineer squad, sniper, special forces, HAT, vehicle crews, etc etc. Even on infantry maps you'll probably still have one sniper/special forces squad and maybe another specialized one.

Makes 4 regular squads.
Now, 3 of them can have SAW's. 3 can have LAT and 3 can have marksmen. Plus 3 can have grenadiers. Now, since you wont have all of these in one squad, you'll probably have like:

Squad 1: Officer, Medic, Rifleman, SAW, LAT, something else (engineer, medic, rifleman)
Squad 2: Officer, Medic, Rifleman, DM, LAT, something else
Squad 3: Officer, Medic, Rifleman, SAW, Grenadier, something else
Squad 4: Officer, Medic, Rifleman, Grenadier, DM, something else.
And have still one SAW, one LAT, one Grenadier and one DM. Could even have 5 squads. Then, one being specialized, should be okay.
