I don't suppose you think Steel Beasts Pro PE is accurate enough?

Besides, 25mm and 7.62mm have different ballistics. The ballistic computer calculates the firing solutions according to whichever weapon is selected.

I have not played that game/simulator. I do not know is it legit enough or not. I do not know can I trust you or not. You should post a source for that claim.

There are two versions of Steel Beast Pro: Personal Edition and Professional. The latter is sold to military personnel only. Finns and Swedes use this simulation to train their tank crews, so I'd say it's legit

Interesting. So your saying coax should actually be on the weapon selector and not firable independantly of the cannon? I see a nice oppotunity for asymmetry, I bet not all APCs ingame do it the same. Would be interesting to have them set up differnetly.

I believe the Challenger 2 works the same way. I saw some pics in thread somewhere of the gunner's control pad for the turret. It was a console-like controller with a switch to select between the main gun and coaxial machine gun, with one trigger on the back.

That's correct. On the CR2, it's the same way. I suggested it a while back on the DEV forums but don't know what became of it.

As long as you make the time to switch from anything to coax and back next to nothing, sounds good.

Looks like we're not able to do it without sacrificing the load time on the tank main gun projectiles. Sorry guys. Unless someone comes up with a workaround, hopefully it'll be in PR2.
