As long as they know what they are doing and the commander supports them, then yes.

I voted No, unless it was done at the very beginning of the round and as long as they dont lock it...there is enough elitist BS in reality, why should we have to endure that in a game? (evenif its called project REALITY

The problem is that you can mod the game, but you can't mod the players. You can fix the bugs, but you can't fix stupid.--gclark03

Dedicated asset squads dont really work on public games. You dont know what peoples skillz are so anyone can create an "air sq" - and then presume they own all the a/c. It just becomes a race to set up an air sq first.
The other night I was on Kashan and some guy had created a locked Air Trans sq. He was over in A3 dropping someone off in the little bird (?) and the hawks spawned. There was loads of guys wanting for a lift so I got in and loaded up a sq. Next thing I get "get out of that hawk - I will fly it" "but your in the LB in A3!!!" "Im dropping someone off - Im coming back now" If there was another pilot there I would have preferred to get a lift - but were we supposed to stand there looking at these hawks, while he minces around on the edge of the map in the LB? I sometimes create a (unlocked ) heli sq that anyone can join, and if someone else in another sq gets a heli - so what - they have as much right as me on a PUBLIC server imo. Its frustrating if they waste it, but they can just as easily be a better pilot than anyone in the "air sq" Obviously tk'ing for a/c or taking an a/c when someone is waiting is another matter |

Difficult one to police this one. Dedicated squads are good, if the people in the squad can do the job properly. The tricky part is if others join the server and want to do that role, but the dedi squads won't let them.
I've had to take issue with some of my members recently for creating chopper squads and claiming them as their own at the expense of our guests (pubbies). Then again, the other day we had a 6 man transport squad. Three Huey pilots and three engineers (one in each). Worked really well. |

i voted yes as these types of squads single out the good , the bad and the dam right stupid. If you join a air squad for example chances are you wil know the person who just joined as pilots generally have to have played a while to be a worthy pilot. On the other hand there is armour squads where a money can point and shoot and a chimp could drive efficiently. It all really depends on what type of assets the squad is going for.

When I play with the intent of tanking, for exemple, I create a squad called TANK and ask in the chat for good teamplayers for my tank squad. But, in the most of the times, a noob spawns near the tank, get it and blow up just 1 minute later. *sighs*

Voted no. Everyone has equal share of all assets and there should be no rule. It's a community cooperation thing. Voluntary, not mandatory.
