In trying to set up for the BF2 Editor. Is it something to do with my loading PR in the BF2 Editor before trying to extract from the objects_client and objects_server files? These particular files are in the objects file for setting up for map making.
Would I need to unistall PR and reinstall it to get those files back? Or is there another way of fixing it? |

I am following those two links above but Im asking how to do the one as quoted below.
'Select both the "Objects_client.zip" and the "Objects_server.zip" files, right click on them and click "Extract Here". This will take some time like above, and overwrite any files it asks you to.' If I cannot find the "Objects_client.zip" & "Objects_server.zip" then it is a little difficult to extract from them |

Its supposed to be in the objects folder when you copy the pr folder and turn it into pr_edit.

ah I understand, that tut was for pre 0.9, the zips are organised differently now, just highlight all the zips in the objects folder, unzip them, then tell ur editor to load all the desired objects in MOD - MODMANAGER and presto

Another change since that tutorial was written is that you need to find a current 0.9 map that has the two factions you want. From that 0.9 map's files copy "serverarchives.con" into your map's main folder. Without it you'll have problems playing the map in-game and your kits will be messed up.

Cheers folks. I''ll have another go when Im on. Is there an updated mapping guide somewhere by the way?
