Before I start, I need to say that I looked and looked for a similar topic to make sure I wasn't double posting. If I missed it, I apologize
now that thats out of the way... I'd like to propose the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. I'd need volunteers to help out, but seeing as the mod is currently lacking in OPFOR factions, I think that this would be a good faction to have fighting the US, Brazil, and/or a NATO coaltion (remember , bf2 as a whole is WW3). Here is what I propose as far as weapons and vehicles Assault Rifles AK47 Ak74 Ak74U (yes ik, its a carbine) AKM Sniper SVD MGs PKM (heavy) RPK (light) Anti Tank RPG 7 AT1 Snapper AT3 Sagger Sidearms Survival Knife Machette Makarov OR MEC Pistol (but we've needed a Makarov for a while, and this faction has few new models so...) Tanks T34 T55 T62 RAV BRDM1 IFV BMP1 APC BTR152 BTR50 Mobile AA ZU-23-4 Anti Tank Vehicle SU100 SAM Strela 10 (vehicle) Strela 3 (infantry) Strela 2 (FOB static Defence) That is my list for now of the various weapons and vehicles. If anybody is willing to help plz PM me. As I said i think that this would be an excellent addition to PR. We are using soviet weapons, so we wont have to model a million guns. We need somebody for pretty much every position so plz volunteer if you want to see this faction. Thank you for your time |

I like this. It could fit perfectly with our Southwestern Theathere of War that is the Brazilians and Venezuelans and FARC factions.
But as of this moment all work on other projects, has been halted as all modding powers are being used to get already factions in-game and into the Main Build. Maybe after v0.92 or something For Example. After the PSC are in Game and good to go I am going to start back on my Venezuelan Faction |

i am not a asshat, but it just common nowadays on these forums that people start on something, move on etc.. the story is quite long but in the end nothing gets done or even started.
i dont know about your involvment in the ARF nor about any of your skillz but sure, if you are willing to do at least something by yourself, good. but i still think that all the power in the commnuity should be focused on the existing factions |

How would you be contributing to the faction jimbob? To start a faction you need to be very determined and work very hard. To me it looks like all your doing is proposing what ever opfor's you can think of when your in the shower. Your best hope is to pick one, and start to develop it. People aren't going to want to join your mod team if the lead does nothing.
