1st post updated with "Needed" list. Volunteer your services, as well as suggest more things we will need, and i will update the first post with the people involved in each section.
We'll keep the list small for now, and get the basics done, then if we get the coding support we can expand once we have a basic version running. |

i'm loving this idea, "i wish it had PR's gameplay" is always the first thing i think when i see other zombie mods (even other games for that matter). i have no skills to offer except a little bit of tweaking, but i'd like to offer a couple suggestions regarding the zombies:
1. Zombies shouldnt get tired from running. 2. Zombies feel no pain and shouldnt get the wounded effects from bleeding and all that. 3. If its possible, Zombies should spawn instantly so there are always more of them about. another idea i had was that it should play more like the movies if the knife damage for zombies was turned down because in a one on one fight zombies never do a one-hit-kill and tend to only kill characters fast with a feasting frenzy. turning down the damage on the zombie knife could give you a infected type effect and all your friends will have to put you down if you suddenly start coughing or something because it means your going to be 'team swapped' without dying. but it's probably not possible for that to happen so i guess its best to keep the deadly one-hit-kill knife. hmm how about every time a uninfected player dies by a zombie, they automatically drop a one time only temporary spawn point where they died, allowing them to menace their unsuspecting former mates. just some ideas. |

This would seriously be teh_awsome. Im sorry, it really just would be.
After playing Death by Binary's zombie mod, aswell has tailoring organised PR 'zombie scrims' at the PRT, this would truely be imensely fun. Who knows, after some community mods are finished, we'll have a lot more folks who are able to do this jazz. ...mongol... |

Ok here my sugestions:
2 classes of zombies Runner = almost infinite stamina but very easy to kill(killable like every soldier on pr with 2-3 shots) Shambler = Regular soldiers stamina, but unless you headshot him you will have to spend 15-20 shots on the body to put him down) No respawn time for them and very little to none falling damage, also a slown way to regenerate life while standing still would be nice (something like the med kit but without the model). There should be no vehicles(or at least no armored vehicles), and the maps could have "CP's like places where the army need to secure. and the zombies would spawn on fixed positions and would have to get to the cp's and avoid it being captured. The cp's would have to be only capturable by the team 2(Blue force) that way the zombies could only defend the position, it would work like the army is cleainig that location and not a fight for 1 cp. Zombies should have instant respawn and 9999 tickets, they would only lose if the blue force takes all the cp's. The cp's should be random so each round will be diferent. If a player get's killed by a zombie, he should have something like 3 to 5 minutes respawn time |

We should use the insurgent faction for this really, al basrah does seem like a good map too. Hows about a 150/200m fog range? With a red tint? I also think that the zombies should not bleed, should heal themselves very slowly, should be able to be killed if hit anywhere enough times. So give one kind a near infinite sprint time, and the other 500% HP. But what about weapons? We cant have zombies armed with rifles, so we should use the knife as a placeholder for now IMO. Also remember: You NEED to give people an easy way to uninstall this mod before you distribute it. Make it as you go along too, its awful when you have just installed something to test and realise you didn't back up the modified files. Dont put the uninstall files in a seperate D/L either, thats just awkward. Has anyone done anything on this yet? I also think we should use the INS mode, and the caches. The army must recover (destroy) 12 cases left around the city, by terrorists, which originally released the virus. |
