I think Hauler and Leusch brought up some interesting points. Of course, the vids are looking extremly cool and It can imagine that it is endless fun to use these tweeked air-assets.

But, it would mean also a huge amount of work for...well...nothing. When I look at the serverbrowser, most of the full servers have city/Infantry based maps. There are only two maps with planes, that are only hardly played.
And if you are on such a map, only two or four people of 64 have the chance to fly a plane or chopper.
I think, that most of the player would not profit from these changes, since they are only for pilots. The "normal" player, that plays the mod one or two times a week (work, familiy, friends, RL of all kinds) will never have any advantage from new air-assets.

I, for example, would like to fly planes and choppers, but i never have the time to practice enough. There are many people like me, that will never get a plane and only very few, that will have their fun with cas' changes. So, is it really worth the work?

I don't say "forget about it", but either you make maps where you can get a plane without waiting half of your evening (wich would not fit PR) or most of the work with the planes ist more or less for nothing and the time could be spent for much more usfull things...

Well thats kind of the point also. To offer more variation for aircraft since atm they are kind of left out.

The desert rats map has atm 4 jets per side (no out of bounds penalty) and the heli version of it has 2 attack + 2 scout.

With Seethed waters you have varying amounts but one version will be the air superiority and with have 6v6 or 8v8, I can´t remember the exact number now jets to dogfight with.

ATM on Seethed waters 64 there are 2 F/A-18s and 2 AV-8B harriers for USMC. For china 2 J-10's and 2 Q-5 fantans. So 2 CAS planes and 2 air superiority planes per side.

If i remember well.

Yea and combined arms isn't only about Air. There are things being done to:

For example
tanks(FCS giving new meaning to PR tank battles)
AAVs(Beyond visual range radar and guided projectiles that simulate tracking and make AAs also realistic)
Infantry(Javelin)

Depends what version. Try the 16 layer.

Basically all the radar/lock on perks the aircraft are getting for the tanks.

well i really liked the new HUD, but the auto lock seems it will be overpowered, unless in 2 seat jets, and low range/hard to lock, but until tested can be hard to know:/
also a mod for a mod? those it makes PR a mod or a game or what? i hope few of that changes will be implimented and no mod for PR, PR need some jets changes+new jets maps, not a mod to download just to play almost the same game[also server owners who want both of the mods will need to pay twice to run two servers, which is useless here]

Not quite. Depends how you go about it I think. If you just pay for a server box you can run as many servers as the box can take.
