Hum, France is not very present in Maghreb...we only have economic relationships ..Most of the time, they buy trains, nuclear plants, but not military stuff...
We are also present in Darfour (Soudan) and in former French colonies like Djibouti where French army is trained before going to Afghanistan.

The other way around is more true...
As for the African factions, we should, if everything going nicely, make the:
-OGG (Guinean Gulf Organisation) which is kind of a conventional army (it will be like the MEC, a coalition, means you can see it as the Congo faction...) Maps area: Guinean Gulf and West Africa


and perhaps:
-Somalian rebells/pirats which are looking similar to Insurgents. Maps area: Somalia


-Tchad mercenaries which are rebells or "conventional" army from the South Sahara area (depends on which side they are...). Maps area: Tchad and North of the OGG occupied territories.


As said, the French army is not any more present in Maghreb and North Africa. So nothing there... We are more present around the South of the Sahara (like Tchad or Soudan), in the West of Africa (like the Ivory Coast) or in East around Djibouti where there is a big military base...
