did you just open ps or open ps then a psd, i tried just starting ps and it did not work till i opened a psd file. I copied and put the dll into the C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 folder, for you it would be C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 or wherever you installed it, just askin...

oh well, i guess that was a shot in the dark then, it worked for Guedoe as he also has ps installed, at least now he doesnt have to start it every time he wants to do mapping...

i'll take another look into this, it might be a missing registry entry that coincides with the dll to do all the magic..

its a strange world..

Thanks for looking into this

I have Windows 7 Pro 32-bit and none of the fixes work (no PS so dll copied manually to various places and PC restarted).

I also downloaded Win 7's XP virtual machine but that has no D3D support - as far as I know... Does anyone know if there's a way to get D3D working in the XP VM?

vmware has d3d support

and that dll was probably rather a wild guess

it probably was something else..

thanks so much creepin, this fixed my problem, I had to install photoshop to get this to work though.

I had the exact same issue with moving objects, and running winxp with CD version BF2.
