havent done any work with the bf2 engine and im shore this has been suggested but what about using the system from the tank turret and linking in the movement of the trailer to the movement the cab,

eg the driver turns wheels right and the trailer moves in conjunction with it

that way we have tried, not in the same way you have suggested just linked to the wheel steering nothing to do with the turret but it dont work at all well, for a start the rear cab moves side to side when you turn left to right even when your stationary which looks very odd, then it still dose not go over bumps, so say if you went over a bump like this /\ when you would get to the top in r/l both sides would just flop over each side, instead the thing is ridged.

trust me, I've had egor work on this and if he couldn't get it to work then no one can

my thinking would be that using the turret it would pivot from a point, admitedly it doesn't solve the upy downy problem, but maybe a gyroscope that would keep it parallel to the ground it was on (probably not possible) then you could have a system to take over the world,

failing that lets just partition to MOD to only buy vechiles with out pivots.

Not to be too arsey or anything, but I thought the Royal Marine Commandos were a bit on the 1337 haxors side of things in gaming terms? Either way I was under the impression that they were the really specialised arm of the Royal Marines.

This is an american talking, so forgive my ignorance.

Is it safe to say that the Royal Marine Commando's are a more specialized form of infantry, such as U.S. Army Rangers (better specialized light infantry)? Or are the Royal Marines their own entity in a sense? I'm trying ot figure out how to explain it better. The difference between the Royal Marines and Royal Army, isnt the same as the difference between the USA and USMC correct?

The Royal Marines are part of the Navy and have nothing to do with the Army. They specialise in mountain and arctic warfare and also provide the marine assault capability.

The Marines assault the beach (Assault Beach Unit) then the Army comes in and takes over the beach to form an Logistic Beach Unit in the form of 17 Port and Maritime Regt RLC. Normally all are commanded by Comm Amph Task Gp until a more secure airhead or port can be secured.

The RM are particularly suited to winter fighting in Afghan due to one of their primary roles. They also train for inland waterways and some jungle warfare.

Although they are nothing to do with the Army they are supported by them in the form of CDO Log Regt. We also provide Arty and Eng support. The RM still do a lot of their own support but the Army gets on with the heavier stuff freeing up the Commandos to carry out their fighting role.

Quite simple really.

I think it's because of the upcoming EU ban on lead-based ammunition. Apparently, lead is not good for you if ingested, at any velocity.

And whilst I'm here, you're not a PC and Windows 7 wasn't your idea, live with it!!!

They're pretty much 10th Mountain, and Rangers all mixed into one + amphib operations as well. Very nice.

If I'm not mistaken(which I could well be) you have to pass the Commando Course to support them Engy or Arty support, so are essentially a Marine, but just in your regiment(Royal Engies or whatever) rather than the Navy? Or am I way off?

well according to a poster the army cadets have up at my cadet centre

royal engineers that are with the marines go through he commando course and work with them. its also says "they receive the coveted green beret." but they are still an engie mainly.
