I have replaced some objects and selected them, then have clicked on trace selected and medium. The lightmaps show up in editor. however ingame they are still not mapped?
Same problem with the textures for the secondary terrains. They wont update ingame. how can I fix it? |

are you using the 'create pr map' script (or whatever it's called - the one rhino released in his pr edit package) - works like a charm for me and it puts all files into the right location.
also make sure you create atlas lightmaps before you try it ingame. |

The bat looked dangerous, it has written "only rhino" in it. What exactly does atlas do?

http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189...ld-script.html this is the one Hans is on about. but that is not your problem, you should really try searching stuff on the BFeditor forums as you would have found out that normally the case that LMs dont get updated ingame is that you have not repacked your lightmap atlas.... | |

yea, hehe was just going to post that link..
simple and takes a few seconds (to find the info and to do it..) EDIT: and, no, i'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with secondary terrain at all. |

an atlas file is all the files packed up into large files which the game uses.
surrounding terrain LMs are baked into the colourmap. To get them to recompile is kinda a odd method that dose not always work, but if you go into your "map name\Colormaps\" folder and delete all the tx_s*.dds files where * is a number from 0 to 7 then once your surrounding terrain LMs are done you go file>save (or resave) then make sure complied colourmaps is checked, save them up, with any luck you then should have your new baked LMs into your surrounding terrain. |
