so you read that the tut could show up trees on the minimap, saw the examples of them showing it up, and as you could not be bothered to read more than the first paragraph of the tut you posted this topic?
fail. read the tuts, they have all the info you need to know, otherwise you will not be even getting a post from me telling you to read a tut with a link to the correct tut, I will just ignore it. I had to learn how to map with basically no tuts about, there was like 2 very crappy mapping tuts from DICE, and very few community tuts... I can tell you now I didn't go around asking every guy who might have an idea on how to do stuff.... |

Its ok now. My mind di not make the connection for trees = overgrowth. Can we calm down now, shall we? btw if you read my join date it says october 2005. I was there too in glorious days of clueless bf2 mapping without tuts. And learned some tricks about minmaps, like having the map at a very high height from the start etc. However this problem with changing viewdistance making trees disappear was new to me. If we combine this with the overgrowth = tree keyword problem above this lead to this misunderstanding. If I had looked for overgrowth instead of trees I would have avoided it. Still do not assume I am totally clueless idiot that is too dumb to read any manuals.
