nice
for the end of the battle, the most effective way both poly and looks that I know of is to basically make a cone, so what you have is ---------- ####/ ####\ ---------- at the end, if that makes any seance hehe, but much deeper of course and with some edges too. Then the texture with a shadow will make it look like a tube |

Rhino: I makes perfect sense. What poly limit would recomend for the whole mesh? That is Weapon+(mount?)and ammo bag. |

For the 1st person mesh I would think around 4,000 polys, 5,000 tops if it included really high detailed sights. For 3rd person I would say 2,000, 3,000 polys?
so for now just worrie about the 1p mesh and then later on you can cut the polies down for the 3p and LODs etc |
