Umhh.. you do know that PR has both close and distant sounds right? You don't need to balance that, you need 2 different sounds. Now I see why it sounds so strange, that 'crack bang' is exactly what it lacks (imo).

Oh and from what distance did you record those sounds? Just curious.

Mosquill, There are different distances. Close up, Short distance, large distance, ambient. I recorded it all.
I have a recording of the Crack Bang sound; I didn't use it. Doesn't fit right for the game. Especially with the other sounds. It doesn't sound too convincing like warfare.
I say think about it this way. You put the Close up shot, and then get close to someone with a distant shot put in. It doesn't sound right at all. Especially when you're right next to them. So thats why, you gotta balance it regardless. It probably will never be "Exactly" like real life, because you need different sound channeling for distances and locations; and thats alot of scripting and sounds.

... the AK 47 Assault Rifle, the preferred weapon of your enemy. It makes a distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it!!

So did you make both 1p and 3p sounds? Or just 1 sound?

Mosquill, the same sound. I'm telling you, I try everything. And it really just doesn't sound good at all with different sounds like that. Especially when its coming from the real thing. It's not like the material you hear on original video games or other mods. The real thing just presents itself different and you "got" to have it the same.

Ok, then how about adding an additional 'bang' sound that can only be heard at a close distance on top of your current sound? Have you tried that?

Really? Nice, that's one lucky guy. China doesn't sell QBZ95s and owning the gun in some countries is illegal

The sounds are very nice could you post the sounds through some better medium?

Mosquill, I told you, I tried everything. And my demonstrations is all that works.

PRC_Heavy_Z, yeah I will. It's actually the maps that Fraps picks up. Some maps come in good quality while others come in bad. Fraps is weird. I know "Strike at Karkand" comes out in good quality. I'll use that map for the next sound demo.

YouTube - Battlefield 2 Sound Demo 3

Video up of Explosions. Read the video to understand.

YouTube - G36 Demo G36 Demo
YouTube - Minigun Demo Minigun Demo

Other videos, of earlier sound editing. You see these videos came out in Perfect qualities; now my newer ones aren't. Fraps is acting like a pain all of a sudden.
