You can just say "this button dose this", in BF2 like you can in say HL2 (afaik), the coding is far more limited, you can only use keys that are defined, like pri shoot or secondary shoot, which are then defined by the player's profile to which button they are on. | |

so are u saying this wouldnt work, if not i would love it if the pilot opened door instead of co-pilot for 2 reasons, 1. if u needed to open the door and u had no co-pilot u would have to switch seats and u would most likely die from wasting time 2. sometimes ur co-pilot messes around with the door and it gets annoying. so if the numpad doesnt work i would love it if u found another way to do it so the pilot can open the door

What keys should he use? None left...
Although you might be able to bind it to "1" and "2", representing "up" and "down"? Though I don't really have a problem with the co-pilot opening/closing the ramp (when do you really use this?). |

the only doable way is the copilot, belive it simple those how know how to code, and it should really not be a problem, to get a copilot when flying around.
AND please give the chinook no doorguns |

BF1942 and BF2 are VERY different engines... just try standing in the merlin and see if you can live in BF2, let alone shove a car inside anouther vehicle, thats the reason why DICE never released there LCAC with the game...
really, if you dont know how the game works, dont try and suggest ways of making things work. |
