Yeah, since the last release I've managed to cut down around 1000poly's by removing the un-wanted polygons on the wheels (I’ve also made the unseen face of the wheel flat as Fox suggested) and at other places on the model. Now that the vehicle has taken its shape, I'll be exploring all around the model removing no longer needed vertices. I usually have a habit of not removing past made vertices, so by all means, if I’m digging myself a grave here, please feel free to inform me on it.

If you want, I can create some high poly wheels easily from which you can get a normal from.

That would be great, but lets keep that as plan B. If the finished model is more than 5000poly's then we can move to plan B.

Don't forget to model the Stryker in such a way that it can be easily converted into a LAV III ( hint hint )

I hope we will see this in the mod at some point? What weapon do you plan to have on it?

Let’s hope I finish the finals on the Cougar this week so I can start with the Stryker. Cause I got almost a month to work on it before University starts again.
The Stryker might be a lot easier to build in comparison to the present MRAP Cougar I’m working on. First of all I got the exact blueprints of every side of the vehicle and second of all I don’t need to make detailed insides either. Although the Stryker doesn’t have firing ports so I actually might need to make an inside view. Good thing the U.S. Army faction is being added to PR, cause the Stryker is the main transport APC for the army and like Nimble said, the model can easily be transformed into a LAV-III for the Canadian Forces faction by simply adding a 25 mm cannon turret to the model. So let’s just hope I get the Cougar done in time, otherwise the Stryker might be delayed for weekend times.

Haven't done too many changes other than cutting down around 1000 polygons, but I suppose I could release another small update.
Wait a few mins while 3D Max lunches.

I can see how that might be dissapointing.

Cheeseman, does this mean maybe you're willing to do the LAVIII turret?
