Great work, love your portfolio so far. Been trying to learn how to model the past few days, I understand how to use the tools somewhat but still need to review all of that crap. Would love to see ya work on PR maybe in the future. Keep it up.

i need some help you fine men/women.
I modelled the rear post iron sight thing but not sure if it's the right one. there's so many reference images on google that are airsoft and i don't know which one is right. Can someone find me some reference images of an eotech and acog 4x and the rear post that are actually used in war and not just airsoft crap? Any links would be helpful and very useful. |

looks sweet, I'm pretty positive a lot of other bf2 mod teams would be interested in this when it's finished
also good to know to whom we owe the excellent svd, always found it a lovely piece of work! |

Those are some nice sights.
I'd watch out for rounding every single edge off though, I'm sure there are hard edges in some places. |

Thanks chuc. I chamfer the edges so that it bakes better. Also i keep in mind that if you have really hard edges then the falloff really only shows when the camera is really close to the gun. But if i keep my edges softer then the detail will be kept at a distance and the normals will work for a 3p view as well

Looks and sounds good!
The edges seem nicely rounded indeed. Check the back of that EOTech sight, I can see quite a few differences in shape between the ref you included and your rendition. |
