and a new processor might mean a new mobo which might mean a new PSU which might mean new RAM also new processor and graphics card migt mean you have to put in a new PSU and new coolers and you might as well just buy a new PC

damn ARMA2 ran like 15-20 FPS -_- on the Demo

Guns don't kill people, people kill people, but the gun sure helps.

GREAT NEWS !!!

I, and a lot of people, play only ARMA/ARMA2 and PR since these two games are the only good realistic war games outthere. BF2:PR is going to be alive for a lot of time. It is a unique game. ARMA 2 is also a really great game for those who are interested in realism. It is the only game that simulates in your screen with great realism a warfare!

However I have a suggestion. One the most interested parts of PR are the insurgents maps especially the map at Iraq. It would be nice to see ARMA2/PR maps on Iraq. A very good job about modeling of ex-iraqi forces (including the Repuplicanc guard and fedayeen) has already done and may be used (dont know how) ..
Please check here : Forums - Iraq Army (Saddam Era) Project - Armaholic.com

I cant wait to see PR in ARMA 2.. It was a dream that now seems to come true .

Thanks and plz forgive possible mistakes in language.

Actually, the game is most resourceful on CPU, not GPU. If your running Arma 2 on the lowest settings ever, then you need to worry about the CPU the most. Example, take those youtube videos where a guy placed 500, 1000, 1500 and 1700 AI's to fight each other. He said that he needed to overheat his CPU to see the difference. Alas, same should go for any game you are playing, as long as you keep your graphics down.

Qaiex: My solution was to not have twitter. You should try it. Feels good, and I don't miss any information that was worth hearing in the first place, since nothing on twitter ever is.

em man what you can expect from a 8600gt, i mean is not so badas gr.card but..arma 2 is arma 2 you cant run everything on high with your sistem...

I know that mate, but i'm just saying i can run ARMA 2 DEMO decently (on a low res), which is apparently absolute crud compared to the full game. And i'm wondering what difference there would be. Would i be able to run it on higher settings or would the framerate just be smoother at those same settings?

It´s not like you will be able to run everything on high if you can play the Demo only on very low. The full game with the patches are much smoother. Especially you should try to switch of post processing effects that gives you quite a lot of more frames per second. Maybe you will play it on medium settings. For sure you will be able to play the game much smoother on your current settings. Though this also depends where you are and how many stuff is put on the map by the map designer.
