No, you don't, just install the patch as you would any other patch. No need to uninstall old PR files.
Normally, yes you would, but due to the smaller size of this patch(albeit with quite a few changes, but small in MBs) it is a patch and patches your current PR folder to what it needs to be. |

The PR_Manual.pdf says:
"Do not install the BF2 v1.5 patch before we confirm that it works with a release of PR" So do not install it.
