I think it just has to do with the short cut launching from the right location. check the short cut your using. That's what popped in my head.

I never saw anything saying I had to do some fancy work on the shortcut. Is there a guide or something?

It should have installed when you installed the core/levels.

thanks, very very very good release
animations are beautiful, IED explosion just Wahoou, and maps ... just enormous (i had tested just 3 maps)

Try starting it up through battlefield 2 community not the shortcut

having trouble, ive downloaded it but when i go to open up setup it comes up for like a mili second and goes away in an instant... like nothing happend ... can someone pleaseeee helpp me... imma try and run as administrator now but when i did that last time it was loading forever and nothing happened.. please help.

If you're in vista, it will take forever starting out of the Fileplanet download helper. (at least it did for me)
