Hey guys, I am about to upgrade my GPU to a PNY GTS 250 1gb and I am wondering what wattage PSU I should upgrade to, if at all? I currently have a 350w PSU.
I have: inspiron 530 intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz 4gb RAM 1 500gb HDD PNY GTS 250 1gb Will my 350w PSU be adequate or should I upgrade. I am currently looking at 550w PSUs |

I find PSU calculators are rarely accurate - if you try the same thing in different calculators you get weird results. Amps on the 12 volt rail are just as important as watts, as is the quality of the PSU. I'd suggest you try and corsair power supply, they do good quality and efficient power supplies, I guess you need a 550w or so PSU for that setup, and make sure you have enough connector cables for the gts250, it takes two 6 pin pci-e connectors if I remember correctly.
