Default Possible fix for corrupted packet flow

Possible fix for corrupted packet flow

Yes, it will take uninstalling the pbsvc and pbsetup...

PBSetup can be located here:
PunkBuster Online Countermeasures

PBSvc can be located here:
http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

Step 1) Open pbsvc, uninstall the pb service

Step 2) Head to your BF2 folder and delete the pb folder

Step 3) You will have to locate a punkbuster folder in the application data.
Vista users:c:\users\USER\AppData\Local

Windows XP Users(hooray):c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\application data

Delete the punkbuster folder found there, if you cannot find it, I suggest using
the windows search function

Step 4) Restarting your computer, some of you might be lazy in doing so, but if you really want to make sure that the problem is fixed, you must make sure you take the proper measures.

Step 5) Open the pbscv.exe, install the punkbuster service

Step 6) Run pbsetup.exe, update your punkbuster(which will install a new folder for BF2)

Step 7) Restart your computer once more

My background with this error:
I've had this error before a couple months ago, it was incredibly annoying, and a true pain in the butt. About a week ago, the error surfaced again, slowly it got worse and worse, until I really couldn't join any servers.

There are other fixes that are suggested, but none really work, the key to this one is that you delete the punkbuster folder in your application data, which in my opinion(pure speculation) is made not by updating your punkbuster or installing the pb service, but by playing the game and when pb is active, this folder is built, and has to do with transmitting data to the main pb server.

Usually, I'd crash after one map, after I did this, I played three maps straight with no problem.

May this be the fix, and to those of you who have been deterred from Project Reality because of this, may you come back and have a good time!!!!!

Can anyone confirm that this works for anybody else?
I need some feedback or at least a thank you if it
does!

Thanks
