Looks good. The only thing I could recommend you is to go for a Coolermaster Silent Pro Series PSU instead of the one you've posted.
The OCZ ModXStream Pro Series failed in a test. Go for a Coolermaster Silent Pro PSU (have one too and it is a very good PSU). And a last thing which might be interesting. I've bought a Western Digital Verlociraptor (10.000 RPM) HDD which is just amazing. The speed-up is worth the extra costs imo. EDIT: With my machine I reached around 620 FPS in PR (sure not constant but still sick!) using XP! Now I have to reinstall BF2 and PR since I use VIsta 64 bit due to 8 GB of RAM (exactly the same ones you're gonna buy) |

Looks good. Perhaps take the ASUS M4A78 Mobo which supports both AM2+ and AM3. (so you don't have to flash your BIOS in order to get it working with AM3 CPU's in case you want to upgrade your CPU sometime)

Looks good.
I'd up to Vista Home Premium for an extra £20 odd, the Aero interface is a lot nicer than the Vista basic one, and not sure if basic gets features like media centre etc. |

Looks very good so far. I like the MSI motherboard more than the Gigabyte. If you have some spare money go for a WD Velociraptor HDD. You won't regret believe me.

ive been having a think about how much stuff i actually use my pc for, and tbh i only use it for OU work, internet stuff and playing PR, and as such i realise that i dont really need an uber pc as the one i posted earlier.
So i've scaled the components back a little ie a dual core instead of a quad core and some other little bits and as such have reduced the price by £150 (which will go towards a new battery and annual service for my focus). so pls cast your eyes across the new list and let me know of any problems that i may encounter. many thanks Deano GTX 260 Golden Sample "Core 216 55nm" 896MB GDDR3 £133.99 AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz Black Edition (Socket AM3) - Retail £79.99 Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 AMD 770 (Socket AM3/AM2+ £69.99 Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel £39.99 Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB SATA-II £36.98 Coolermaster Elite 335 Case £28.99 OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready £64.99 Vista Home Premium SP1 64-Bit £81.98 Sub Total : £466.87 Shipping : £11.75 VAT : £71.79 Total : £550.41 SOURCE Overclockers UK |
