yeah, that one, just "twintech" (rather than "spark") edition.
I also had a look at the phenoms, which seem quite good (allthough I7 is said better, but wth....). Them coming up to the same price, it now all depends on the MoBo price. I will have a look around during the week and report back what I found. Obviously, all suggestions are welcome! Thanks for the help, Chargat. |

After some research, I have come to the conclusion that an I7 920 was my best bet (it is rated above AMD phenoms in most cases), and am considering either a "Gigabyte S1366 Intel X58 DDR3 ATX A L" or a "Gigabyte LGA1366 Intel X58 DDR3 ATX Audio Lan". The main factor now has to do with compatibility. I have started doing some research, but due to the poor amount of info I manage to squeeze out of my PC, I am not quite sure what to look for. Thus, my primary question is : Does anyone know of a good free program which rounds up your system's information?
My second question is has anyone here actually got either of these and can post comments on them? Also, I will try to upload some pictures of my current hardware sometime tomorrow. Many thanks for all the help so far, Chargat. |

Thanks, and concerning the RAM, thanks for the warning, was expecting it to run DDR2, just slower.
