Temporary Freezes with repeating sound

Ok was searching through the forums and found similiar problems but they include crashing aswell.
In PR on 9/10 games i play i get a game freeze with repeating sound for about 10-15 seconds. Sometimes its only once sometimes its multiple and at differerent times. I heard it is something to do with the map and objects still loading but as i said ive only heard that was it so not sure. On the other threads solutions where to clear disk space. Could someone confirm that for me and maybe give me some other advice to stop this. Though this doesnt directly effect me to play the game, it does stop me from flying in PR due to the fact i could freeze and crash the helicopter at any given time.

what happens after the freez? pc reboot? normal game play?

this might actually be a severe problem - hardware- or system-wise
check your temperatures for overheating
try running with lower settings

get the patched exe

Problem fixed. No idea what was causing it. Had to reinstall BF2 today and so far havnt had anything too bad. The thing is i had the patched .exe and it was having problems not it hasnt got it, it seems to be fine.
