I have had this problem with other titles in the battlefield franchise but ever since installing PR and PRSP it has become worse.
The problem is that when starting a map i either get a crash to desktop or a blue screen. I can usually stop this happening by launching the game applying the video settings closing the game then starting it back up. BUT no matter what when i play mulitiplayer it ALLWAYS blue screens. When i Originally installed PR and PRSP i'd allways get a crash to desktop after less than a minute of being in a helicopter and instantly when in jet. I found out the problem is that i din't have the 1.41 patch so i uninstalled PR and BF2 removed all shortcuts and folders did a complete re install including the patch and now i can play in helicopters ect in SP but i cannot join servers in MP without a blue screen! This problem is ver frustrating. I have followed all the steps in this: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-...ing-crash.html but none of them are helping. I have all my drivers updated so i don't knwo whats happening. My specs are: Intel Pentium dual core E5200 @ 2.5ghz nVIDIA 9500gt 512mb 2gb DDR2 Ram Asus p5kpl-cm Motherboard And Windows XP Home Edition Please help me! |

What is your PSU model and can you take a picture of your blue screen or write down the error code next time it happens.
Also try running on all low settings except resolution and see if that helps. |

Nick20404 my PSU is a 510w (560W peak) Acbel high Performance active PFC super Quite PSU and the message i get in my blue screen firstly is: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. below this message it says: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
all the way down to the technical information it says: *** STOP: 0x000000001 (0x8683f584,0x00000002,0x00000003,0xb683f684) the stuff in brackets im not sure if its correct becuase the blue screen lasts less than half a second so my picture is slightly hard to read. *** viahduaa.sys - address b683fs84 base at B681E000, Datestamp 47b3b73D the next line is exactually the same as the line above this one. And thats all the info from the blue screen other than all the if this problem continues ect. Hope this helps! |
