Be honest. You're getting around 20-30FPS in many parts around Fallujah and in a few other maps as well aren't you?

Not that i recall... 60 - 80 fps

No reason to lie, just trying to be helpful. It depends on what other hardware you have with it, it's a 512 vRAM card.. more than enough for PR.

Quote:
Radeon X1950 PRO
core speed: 575 MHz
Memory Speed 1.38 GHz
Pixel Shader Processors 36
Vertex Shader 8
256-bit 8 channel GDDR3 memory interface
Shader Model 3.0 vertex and pixel shader support
etc etc
More than enough for PR.

More than enough for PR.
Absolutely no way you're getting that in Fallujah with everything high.

I have HD 4870 512mb/3.8GHz C2D/4gb ram and drop to 38FPS sometimes.

Friend has HD4870 1GB/AMD X4 920 quad core/4gb ram and also drops to 40FPS.

My previous rig had an 8800GT and that too gave similar performance.

Another friend has 7900GT's in SLI and is playing with low graphics and still Fallujah runs poorly.

Fine, if you want to convince people that a x1950pro is insufficient for PR, go for it.

Numbers mean nothing if you don't maintain your PC correctly... as you prove above.

I use to play PR on high gfx with a x1950pro just fine, the x1950pro is a REALLY good value card I found, very cheap, and very powerful. The only real thing I didn't like about it was that the ATI drivers are sh*t!

Ok, so you're telling me all those rigs have/had something wrong with them that only affects PR? I can max out every other game I have and score 15691 in 3DMark06 yet your lower spec PC is somehow superior in running PR because you defrag your HDD and use some sort of crap cleaner application? Sorry, don't buy it.

Not trying to convince people x1950 pro is insufficient. Only that you cannot run certain maps with everything high as well as you're saying.

Jeeze stop trying to put words in my mouth or read between the lines and getting all shirty with me.

I have a x1950pro and you CAN run all settings on high and have good fps.

If you are using a 1GB HD4870 or similar spec card and getting 40 fps then you are either unique or you have some issue or bottleneck in your system or you are getting the result of some poor texture/object optimisation in the PR map / driver conflict).

End of conversation at least from my end. Good day.

You suggested that I don't "maintain correctly" meaning there's something wrong with my rig which is why your PC runs PR better.

I posted the results from 4 different rigs, so my results are not unique. One of the rigs was built and owned by a guy who fixes PC's for a living, so I really doubt all of those rigs were suffering from some sort of problems that make PR run slow.

Tell you what, post some screenshots like the guy in this thread to really shut me up:

Just 1 is enough if you take it from here (Fallujah, outside US main):

I'm talking about Fallujah, Muttrah, Korengal and Ramiel. in my experience you cannot maintain 60-80FPS on those maps with this card in 0.85. I used to have an X1950 pro myself. This is all I am saying.

Now if you would all be so kind to also give the specs of ur monitor, so we can actually see what's going on. I can play BF2 on high too, with my 7600GS SLI, as long as I'm playing on 800*600.
