Default Mouse aim is 'stepping.' - odd one.

Hey guys,

I've just upgraded my rig to the new Nvidia GTX250, new processor etc..

However, in PR, my mouse aim is 'stepping' - it's not smooth, making kills at distance almost impossible.

ie: When aiming, there's a tiny step in each direction, sometimes hopping over the target entirely if he's far away.

It's strange, because I can't remember having this problem, and my rig is overqualified to play the game, so it's not lack of power that's doing it.

Any clues?

(Just for reference, G9 mouse, latest drivers etc.. Vista 64 but running very well.)

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm not being too much help to the team like this !

I will just ask the obvious so more knowledgeable people can skip it and help you out faster.

Does the mouse show any signs of that in the Windows test feature ?

And what DPI are you running ?

-I have the G9 as well and I don't have this issue. And yes, it has changable DPI.

Seems to me it's a combo of DPI on the mouse and in-game. My personal config for tanks for example is a .10 for the stepping in game, and I force the mouse on 3200 dpi. That allows for fast movement and very accurate aiming. I might suggest something similar for you?

JFDI - not a starwars reference
PEBKAC - problem existing between keyboard and chair
ID-10-T - reference number given to difficult customers
NAVY - Never Again Volunteer Yourself
MARINE - My A$s Rides In Navy Equipment
etc. etc.

actually I think its a game thing - I've had it ever since, in the whole BF serier, not in anyother games though

I would think that with your new rig you just realize it now - and did not on the old pc
Got a new tft monitor as well?

if i am mistaken that would be awesome cause I hate it too and a fix would boost my skill by 90% or so xD
