Tried loads of different settings and re-optimized shaders in between changing them. Still no difference. | |

But you never got around to checking HDD diagnostics? Find out who made the drive and download the tool directly from the manufacturer.
Also, is there any chance of the Bios-upgrade causing it? Doesn't sound at all like a softwareissue to me. |

Did you use that modified bf2.exe,the original can cause lag in certain cases.
I still think it's you're new BIOS however, you say even "Dell's Tools something" ....does not recognize it - does not make sense. What about other games? Any lag? (if you play other games) or benchmark scores - do you have something with a result from the past, maybe a 3dmark score or something? edit* Check that the cpu is not down throttling to lower frequency during the game ( Intel Speed step if it has it) |

![]() Enable the SLI "visualization" bar in the NV control panel (at the top under the 3d settings) It shows how much the gpu's are utilized. The more green - the better and if it's really small the gpu's aren't fed enough (for whatever reason) Use the game.lockpfs 0 as well. P.S. Can you flash the older BIOS back or is it "locked" ? |

What's the HDD access like? Is it going nuts while lagging? Or not accessing it particularly? If the drive's bottlenecking, could be down to it not using the SATA / UDMA bridge properly and using archaic PI/O access. Are you positive there's no motherboard / CPU / Whatever driver you've neglected to update?

Can run a hdtach to get the speed numbers for the drive: HdTach There might be a setting in the BIOS indicating how much system memory the video cards can use,512 is the maximum but it's possible it's set to something really low, like 64.Post a screen shot of GPUz GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility
