Troubleshooting for Blue screen of death

Hey really appriciate that you posted that, ok first things first.

1. You put any new hardware in? If so you want to follow the steps for hardware issue on my first post.

2. spcmdcon.sys now i know is some sort of corruption on your harddrive

3. You want to run an error check on your computer, to do this follow steps below.

Start
Run
Type: sfc /scannow < there is a space between sfc and the /

<example> sfc(space)/scannow

4. If you can boot back into windows try doing an error check on your C drive.

If problem still persists i advise call company of your computer, buying a new piece of hardware, or simply reformatting, weird because it only happens with a game, Ill do some more research for now try those few options i have suggested and tell me how it turns out.

Ehm, it's not my error

It's just a random BSOD I googled to answer Sgt Quakers' question of what the error code is.


Sorry for the misunderstanding.


BTW, the error is usually caused by corrupt registry so using the system recovery should fix it. If none is available repairing the existing windows installation will do as well (this is what people should do first before clean reinstall - saves the settings and all data).

additional suggestion for 1B - Repairing:
run check disk to fix corrupted files (including system files) BEFORE using the repair function of the recovery disk

Not sure, i just recently had this comp built for me, my cousin wasnt very clear on the specs he said something like 512mb or 2gb or something like that, but it can run both PR and BF2 (ive played them on single player)
