High ping suddenly

hi all, for some reason the last 4 days i have been unable to play pr untill 2200gmt because my ping has shot up from 32-40 (on igi server) to 500 sometimes hitting 700. which is fu**ig silly(unplayable).
so first thing i did was make sure no one was downloading on any computers and manuely unpluged them from the router. to make sure they not downloading, but still no change.
so i closed everything down on my computer except the game and system 32 through procceses in task manager. but still a 600-800ping, wtf...... made sure the ports were open for bf2, and all the normal things, still the same......but what i cant understand, my ping drops back to 32-40 (on igi server) at round about 2200gmt.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN OR HELP PLEASE

P.S. when i Ping Google i have a 34ms ping(thats via cmd)

When asking for help,

Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.

You say you haven't been able to play pr until after 2200gmt" but that doesn't mean anything to me since I don't know where you live. Any time you have a slowdown at a certain time you need to CALL your ISP and complain.
A lot of things can affect your ping ( the time it takes for a game data packet to go from your PC to the server and back)
If you can't play any online multi -player games due to high ping call your ISP and ask how you can improve your ping.
Often newer and better routers are available for free if you ask, or
their tech support can rule out your line(local work being done it your area) or router (exchange it)
If you can play other multi-player games online just fine them check:
Router setup
Firewall

If your running Xp you can tune up your internet connection with TCP Optimizer to maximize throughput.
check out speed guides web site
click here to use their TCP/IP Analyzer
results will show if you can improve throughput.

cheers mate, but the reason i didnt post all of that is that, it has only been since 12-02-09 and i liv in england. i have played this game on the same isp and router for a year and a bit, and normally on a uk server i average a 34 ping.....but cheers for the help mate, i figured out the problem, it is my isp. they must be working on the line....couldnt be anything else

i have had this for no reason i would get a ping of 700 which would slowly drop down to 100's where as before it had been at arround 30/40
