I'm looking for a new headset as my current one has just broken
the mic and stuff still work but the ear cup has fallen apart and as such I'm having to use masking tape to keep it together I've currently got a saitek GH50 Amazon.com: Saitek GH50 Surround Sound Headset: Electronics the problem is, I don't ever really use the headset with the cups over my ears as I prefer using the speakers, except for late night sessions I've thought about the Fatal1ty headset as a replacement, but I am now leaning more towards a basic headset without the big ear cups something like: Logitech Internet Chat Headset: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo alternatively i may just buy a clip on microphone, but don't know what the quality would be like any advice is greatly appreciated cheers |

I got these at xmas :
Creative HS-450 Headset: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo I got sick of even expensive headsets breaking after a few months - its too easy to trip over the wire and break them, or even for the wire to break internally from my office chair wheels etc. The creative ones sound great, and when Im using speakers, I just put them round my neck so I can use the mic. |

Sennheiser PC151 Headphones: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo go for the 161 if you want spend more.... go for the 350 if you want to spend a lot more.. but stay at sennheiser the cups of the 151 and the 161 arent as big as they look like.. its just a good feeling with these things on the head |

I got this one, it works very nicely, quite comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is excellent.
Newegg.com - Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Circumaural Gaming Headset Plus, it suits your name. Fairly inexpensive also. |

Creative HS Fatal1ty Gaming Headset: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Main thing to watch is the bendy mic boom - Ive had 2 expensive headset now, with that kind of boom, and both times they have broken - you cant get replacements, so despite the headphones working fine, they are useless for gaming. Theyre exactly the same spec as the headset I recommended earlier - you just pay an extra £5 for the fatality sticker, and also the headphones are much larger and heavier. | |
