Sound cards and Creative X-Fi - Page 2

What I'm really interested in is to get as realistic gun shot sounds as possible. I believe it can increase the gaming experience alot. As it is now it feels like I'm shooting peas. :P

What I can't get is why you'll have to have a Creative X-Fi card. I got a studio program where I can make really good sounds, wouldn't that be possible for BF2 as well. Just if you downloaded some sort of sound program.

Sound isnt to important for me, graphics is more important, but good sounf is fun.

Is it possible to record the gun shot sounds so we could have a taste of how it sounds? Or maybe things don't work that way.

X-FI xtreme music with Z-5300e 5.1 surround brings the game into your home. And can make you jump at times. X-FI cards are a must!

XFi music and any speakers of good quality really, but if you have a couple of hundred to blow then yer, get them speakers too, I have logitech G51's, they are bad ass enough

you can hear footsteps with a good headset and xfi gamer . my other pC with only creative audigity 2 ZX (eax, but not 4.0) cant hera these

For some reason the X-fi extrememusic is almost nowhere on stock in shops in Holland. How is that in the rest of the world.
And has anybody any experience with the x-fi extreme Audio, saw a review where they said it wasn't good against the xtreme music, but that review could have been 1 or 2 years old iirc.

Extreme audio is extremely floored, and check out UK based suppliers like www.overclockers.co.uk etc as they7 have them in stock and deliver to Europe etc....

extreme audio is the worst of the x-fi cards. Xtreme music if you can find it gives you a lot more than the audio one would.
