Crash When Click Join

Ok i just recently downloaded this mod and every time i click join game or on the training severs deploy it crashs and my friend said change the rez to 1026 768 which i did and it still didnt fix it PLZ PLZ PLZZZZZZZ help me

The most common causes of CTD are:

Lack of bf2 FULL update 1.41

Incomplete install of 'Core' & 'Levels'

Compatibility mode to xp and run as admin not set in desktop shortcut on Vista PCs

Running game below 1024x768 resolution

Quick check list:
BF2 installed
All earlier PR versions and desktop shortcuts deleted


Full 1.41 BF2 updater
PR 8 uses TWO installers
#1 Core installed FULL ( create desktop short checked)
#2 levels(maps) installed
(Vista users need to set compatibility mode to xp and run as admin in their desktop shortcut)
running game at 1024x768 res or higher same as your desktop.

punk buster uninstalled with pbsvc
reboot before reinstalling punk buster files with pbsvc( if your using Vista DO NOT set compatibility to XP, run as admin ok)
run pbsvc test/get all green on test
update bunk buster files with pbsetup
open firewall for punk buster and bf2 or turn off
If you still have trouble run battlefield cleaner to flush out your video cache files
Still no joy?

Trash your BF2 cache files
Path:
C:\Users\'your user name here'\Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Throw EVERYTHING inside the folder named cache away.
don't worry the files will be replaced with new ones when the game restarts.

Make a new player and try to join a server.
Don't worry about your settings yet,battlefield cleaner can transfer old settings to the new one later if this works.

Started happening to me last night around 2:30AM MST. I had just been playing a match around 20 minutes before, and when I tried to connect to another server it would CTD right after the box appears that says you're connecting to the server.

Vanilla BF2 also has this problem if I try to connect to a server online, but offline with bots it works just fine.

O/S: XP Pro

Double checked your levels folder? Make sure you had actually initially installed it...

And if its just now starting to crash at that spot, double check to make sure it didnt get deleted somehow... you never know..

Cuz it sounds like its either the resolution problem[run above 800x600] or you dont have the levels or something :\

Try running in windowed mode as well to see if it gives you an error message..

I fixed mine it turned out i was the res and i can play my game with hardly any lag and now im happy =)!!
