Exclamation Crash as soon as I press Multiplayer

Hey, I just installed project reality following the installation guide.
My problem is that as soon as I press the "Multiplayer" tab project reality crashes with no errors.
I've looked around on these forums searched and stuff but found nothing.

This is my pr shortcut:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr/pr.exe +menu 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900 +fullscreen 1
start in:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"
Please help me asap I really want to play project reality
Also I have reinstalled project reality, did nothing.
I'm running vista 32 bit
oh and my specs are
Intel Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 ghz
RAM: 3070 MB
GPU: ati radeon 3870

it sais "+modPath mods/pr/pr.exe" in your short cut

it should say "+modPath mods/pr" only

you can also change to "+fullscreen 0" to make it start in windowed mode and eventually prompt an error

did you apply any bug fixes already? like the ones for the downloaded bf2 version, described in this forum

edit: i see your trying to run in widescreen mode maybe that screwed it? try starting pr right after install (ofc after the mendatory reboot) and leave it to defaults - when it then runs ok you can try to fiddle with widescreen and whatever else you want to customize

Thanks for the reply,
If I set it to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\"
it gives me the error about having to use pr.exe and not bf2.exe
also it gives no errors even if I run it in windowed
and my bf2 isn't downloaded

please read more thoroughly! not the actual path but the parameter +modpath has a wrong path

yours:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr/pr.exe +menu 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900 +fullscreen 1
my suggestion:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

yes, I know sorry, I confused them a bit, if I do what you tell me to do it gives me the error about having to use pr.exe

yours I used and made me give the error about having to use pr.exe instead of bf2.exe:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 0
Mine which loads but makes me crash as soon as I press multiplayer or solo play:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr/pr.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 0
I did read your post correctly, I just got confused when making my reply
I'll be back in 9 hours, gotta sleep please help me, I really really want to play project reality

for testing purpose i changed my shortcut to match yours.
1. when starting with this modpath it will start regular bf2 because there is no directory "mods/pr/pr.exe" - it is a file
2. when clicking on multiplayer it crashes just as you described

i do not know where you found a suggestion to change the modpath to pr.exe but it is just plain wrong and cannot work.

you will have to find a decent workaround for the "WARNING! You must run Project Reality by running PR.exe, not BF2.exe."

you will probably just have to run it as admin
